Chicken Chow Mein Noodles - Chinese Recipes for All

Delicious fried noodles

A delicious recipe, great on its own or with a main dish. Perfect for those days where you just feel like some chicken and fried noodles. Beansprouts are optional but they add a really nice crunch and texture to this dish. Impress your friends with this simple to cook recipe!

Ingredients

Serves 2

  • 1 tbsp, vegetable oil
  • 200g, beansprouts
  • 300-400g, egg noodles
  • 1 breast of chicken, sliced and fried
  • 1/2 tsp salt, or to taste
  • 1-2 tbsp soy sauce, or to taste
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 spring onion, sliced

Preparation

Cut the chicken into slices and fry in a wok for three minutes. Once cooked, place it in a dish to the side and begin cooking instructions. Alternatively you could use sliced leftover chicken from your Sunday roast.

Heat oil in a wok, on high heat until hot.

Fry the beansprouts and noodles for two minutes

Next add in the chicken and fry for a further three minutes

Add salt, sesame oil and soy sauce to taste and fry for another three minutes. Serve.

For extra garnishes add 1 bunch chopped spring onions.
