Ingredients

Serves 2

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 onion, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 slice ginger
  • 200g, beansprouts, washed and drained
  • 170g, roast pork, sliced
  • 75-100ml chicken stock
  • 2 pinches white pepper
  • 1 tsp soy sauce, or to taste
  • salt, to taste
  • 1 tsp cornflour mixture
  • 1 spring onion, sliced

Preparation

Prepare vegetables.

Prepare chicken stock and cornflour mixture.

Heat oil on high heat. When hot, fry onions, ginger and garlic for 1 minute.

Add beansprouts and fry for 30 seconds. Then add in the roast pork and fry for further 30 seconds.

Pour in chicken stock and leave for 1 minute or until it starts to boil. Add white pepper and soy sauce. Taste the sauce, then add salt to taste.

Then gradually pour in cornflour mixture and stir until sauce is thickened. Cook for 1 and a half minutes.

Add spring onions to wok and mix in. Serve with boiled rice or noodles.
